    New, enhanced 'My Activities' feed

Clippd’s latest release introduces functionality that enables you to record the full range of your golf-related activities in one place – and include short videos, photos and notes. To update to the latest version, please ensure you tap the 'Click to Update' box at bottom left of your screen when you next login to Clippd.

The new menu of off-course activities includes Lesson, Chipping, Putting, Bunkers, Range, Cardio, Mobility, and Strength. These activities are entered manually into Clippd rather than being uploaded from another data source.

These activities do not include specific shot details and will therefore not affect your overall Player Quality statistics, but they do represent the start of what will become a more comprehensive journaling capability within Clippd – something a number of players and coaches have requested.

    What does this mean?

For players: if you have a lesson or session with your coach, you can now add video and notes to ensure that you capture what you have worked on. If you've been on the range, on the chipping green or in the practice bunker, you can record what you have worked on and how. And, if you’ve been in the gym training certain muscle groups to gain more speed, for instance, you can add this to Clippd and see it in your enhanced ‘My Activities’ feed.

For coaches, this new functionality means you can see exactly what your players are doing and stay connected with the work they are putting in away from the course.

In future releases, we will expand the ability to add short videos and photos to your rounds and other activities.

All these new golf-relevant activities are entered manually by clicking the + icon in the top navbar on Clippd.

You then have the option to give the activity a title and description, and record where and when the activity took place and the time spent doing it.

We have also introduced tags, enabling you to tag an activity as either OTT, APP, ARG or PUTT relevant, or a combination. In new features that we have in the pipeline, tagging will help when it comes to setting time-based goals and seeing how these different activities contribute to your overall performance and in specific areas of your game. By entering these activities, tagging them and adding notes, you will be able to track progress through trend lines and see which activities make a difference to your game.

Adding a photo or video is easy
, either by drag and drop or by selecting the photo or video from the device you are using.

You can now also filter your Activities by Activity Type (Round, LM Combine, LM Test, Practice and Off Course) and by Keyword. So, if you want to see how you have performed on a certain course or look at all your ARG activities, for example, you can now do so very easily.

We have listened to your feedback on being able to filter the data in order to see how you performed in certain periods or on certain courses, and this is something we are looking at. In the meantime, this new ability to filter by Activity Type and Keyword enables easier comparison – especially on desktop where we offer three different views of 'My Activities'.

    Factoring weather into our calculations

This is a three-phase process. Phase 1 was unveiled in our last release, where we introduced the ability to add weather and course conditions in our 'Edit Activity' feature. In this release, we introduce Phase 2, which enables you to see at-a-glance (see below, under round title) when weather has been a factor in your round. Phase 3 will come in our next release in a few weeks when we start to include weather conditions in our Shot Quality calculations.

In order to get the most accurate feedback on how weather affects your performance, we encourage you to use the 'Edit Activity' feature to add weather information to your rounds, both rounds you have already recorded in Clippd and rounds going forwards.

Upgrading Shot Quality calculations in Clippd Capture tests

We have updated how we process data and calculate Shot Quality for some of the tests and drills in the Clippd Capture app. In our Approach tests, we now add dispersion logic, which is based on a typical PGA Tour player's data, to give more realistic Shot Quality values. So, rather than basing Shot Quality calculations solely on how close you are to the yardage specified in the drill/test, we now add a typical dispersion to the end distance to give a more realistic and accurate result.

As a reminder, your results in drills and tests in the Clippd Capture app currently represent 5% of the value of a round of golf.
