How to use ScoreboardLive app for practice and qualifying
Make sure you have downloaded the ScoreboardLive app from the App Store or Google Play and get your players to do the same.1. Open the ScoreboardLive app, select I am a coach or host, and log in with the same email and password you use for the Scoreboard Coach Portal
2. The first screen the coach will see will be the event, in this case the Qualifying/Practice Round, with the earliest date of all events created in the Scoreboard Coach Portal
3. The coach must check in their players and either send them the unique access code or ask them to scan the QR code generated by the ScoreboardLive app. One unique code is generated for each team in an event
4. If scanning the QR code, players will be signed into the ScoreboardLive app automatically. Alternatively, players can log in to the Qualifying/Practice Round via the app, choosing I am a Player or Volunteer role, and using their team's unique six-figure code
6. Once logged in, players will see the team roster. They must select their own name and click the pink Check In button at the bottom of the screen
7. All the player’s round information will then appear: tournament name, venue, date, and the players in your group. If the coach has chosen Paperless Scoring, in the lower half of the screen each player will be shown which player in the group they are marking scores for. If Walking Scoring has been selected, the first player in the group to begin scoring will assume control of the score entry. Click the pink Start Round button at the bottom of the screen
8. The app will default to the starting hole that’s been set. Scores are entered by clicking the + button. The score defaults to the par for the hole and players simply click + (plus) or — (minus) to input the correct score
9. When the player has added both scores on a hole, they click the pink Record Hole button at the bottom of the screen and will automatically be taken to the next hole
10. If Paperless Scoring has been selected, the dots denoting each hole at the top of the app will turn white if hole scores match between markers and players. If scores do not match on certain holes, the dots will turn orange, prompting marker and players to correct the scores. At the end of the round, players will be prompted to correct any discrepancies before they can click the pink Finish Round button at the bottom of the screen
11. A live leaderboard will be available in the ScoreboardLive app after each new hole score has been entered. You can access the leaderboard by clicking the three dots in the top right of the app. The coach will also be able to click Live Scoring in the Scoreboard Coach Portal for a hole-by-hole view of the scores as they are entered
