We had a user recently contact us with a question about whether it is possible to upload a virtual round of golf played on Trackman and/or multi-group reports to Clippd.
Our current capability means we can only process TrackMan Tests and Combines. Only certain data from the TrackMan mobile app feeds through to the MyTrackMan web view and at present we can only load data from the MyTrackman website.
Tests and Combines all have measurable outcomes, i.e. a target, and hence a miss distance. This allows us to apply our Shot Quality calculations to all of those shots you hit and see how good they were. When you are just hitting balls, there is no target and therefore we cannot calculate how good or bad the shot was versus the intention of the shot. As a result, we don’t process any of the multi-group reports.
We have had users add TrackMan rounds of golf into Clippd via the Clippd Round Capture tool, which has worked well. We are, however, very aware that it would be much better if we were able to automatically get that data.
