Update 24th May 2024:

Last year, Garmin made a change to their technology infrastructure which meant it was no longer possible to directly import your rounds into Clippd. At the moment, we are awaiting Garmin to build out the new API (connection) so that our members can seamlessly integrate their data collected with Garmin, into Clippd.

As soon as we have an update, we will make sure to announce it to our members.

Whilst we're still actively working on our Garmin integration, here's an explainer to getting your Garmin rounds into Clippd. Keep your ears and eyes peeled for the full integration coming!

As the guide below shows, our Garmin integration operates through Clippd Capture. Clippd pulls through all the available information from Garmin and creates a round in Capture that you can subsequently edit.

There is certain information, such as your putting, that we can't get from Garmin. We therefore require you to add and edit the missing data.

I tried uploading a round from my Garmin Watch. I got the URL for the round after selecting the "Share" option from the lock/unlock icon and I was prepared to then provide it to Clippd Capture but I don't see the option. I tried "Add a round" but nothing comes up related to Garmin upload or share.

Thanks for posting!

Once you've copied the link and are in Clippd Capture, tap the + icon in the bottom right. You'll then see an option to upload a Garmin round. Paste your link into the box and then tap 'Upload Garmin Round'. I've attached some images (excuse the roughness of the arrow!) to help.

We're in the process of updating this How To to include the recent changes to Clippd Capture.

@Josh Thanks a lot. I had missed that button so I just went and tried it. The round came in following those steps. After editing just a couple of shots, though, I deleted the whole round and I'll add it from scratch. Without adjusting the pin position on the watch, the approach distances and hole distances are incorrect and, even changing the distance remaining following the drive, the next shot still uses the Garmin number. Bottom line, it's not a productivity tool for data entry in its current form, unless you feel that I'm missing something.

Glad to hear that worked but I'm sorry about the experience entering the data. At the moment the data we get get from Garmin we take exactly which is why you can't make edits in Capture for the shots Garmin gives us. We know the data we receive is limited but we're working hard to improve it for our users. The Garmin integration is a real focus for the team, making it as seamless as we can with the information available. This is why feedback like this is so helpful, thank you!

If you would like to carry on using the Garmin integration rather than Clippd Capture, one action that can ease the process is to make sure all the information is correct in Garmin first before pulling in Clippd. Thanks again for the feedback, I have spoken with the Product Team already.
