Josh hi. I notice quite often when I select the ladies tees I have to adjust the pars in capture. It's to do with the garmin upload I think.. but also often it doesn't recognise the tee box and says I am starting from the rough. I have to delete all the shots on the hole to rectify that. Why can't clippd default to tee box at the start of every hole? Also did starting in the rough affect my off the tee scores because these are usually low. Thanks liz
Hi @
lizbird,
Hope you are well.
At the moment we use the par and yardages that we receive from Garmin for the course, which is why you may be seeing issues as it could be wrong in their database. However, you are doing the right thing in adjusting in Clippd. Garmin has one of the best course databases in the world, so hopefully you have just found a blip.
We know the data we receive from Garmin is limited but we're working hard to improve it for our users, we are currently looking at the feasibility of adding a feature that will allow you to add a tee shot either before or between existing shots which will solve your problem for tee shots. But you are correct, if your 2nd shot start lie was "Rough" this would have lowered your tee shot's Shot Quality but gave your 2nd shot a boost.
If you would like to carry on using the Garmin integration rather than Clippd Capture, one action that can ease the process is to make sure all the information is correct in Garmin, before pulling in Clippd. If you can get the data as accurate as possible in Garmin it will make it much easier in Clippd.
Hope that's all ok but any questions let me know!
