The Lytham Trophy, played across the 11-time Open Championship venue Royal Lytham & St. Annes, is the first amateur major of the year in England and is often considered the toughest to win. It attracts competitors from all over the world with many encountering links golf (and all 174 pot bunkers at Royal Lytham) for the first time.
